Piano Academy- Level 1

About the Course

This introductory piano course welcomes students with little to no prior experience and builds a strong musical foundation in a fun, supportive environment.

Students learn essential skills such as proper hand position, note reading, rhythm, and basic music theory while exploring a variety of beginner-friendly songs.

One of the strengths of this class is its multigrade structure. Because everyone is a beginner, students of different ages learn side-by-side, encouraging a collaborative atmosphere where learners support one another, celebrate progress together, and grow at their own pace.

By the end of the course, students will be able to play simple melodies with both hands, understand fundamental musical concepts, and practice independently with purpose. Whether a student dreams of performing on stage or simply wants to enjoy making music, this class offers an inspiring starting point for every young pianist.

2. 61-key keyboard –
Each student will need to bring their keyboard to class (easier than it sounds). There is a very light traveling one that we recommend but any keyboard will do, it needs a minimum of 61 keys.

You must enroll through The Annex Learning Place. Click on the "Enroll" button above to enroll in the class. Wait for enrollment confirmation email BEFORE submitting payment or p.o.

Refund Policy:
Once you enroll, class refunds will not be issued under any circumstances. By enrolling in this class, you agree to adhere to this policy. This policy is in place to ensure the efficient allocation of resources and to maintain the integrity of the class. We appreciate your understanding and commitment. We look forward to a great semester together!

Payments:
Charter PO: Please request a full semester and 1 PO (please do not break up the amount) The date of the PO will need to be the first date of the class. The PO must be requested and sent to Buzzy Mae 2 weeks before class begins. Once enrolled, and PO received, the materials and class will not be refunded. Your PO must be emailed to buzzymaemusic@gmail.com before beginning class in January
