Junior Pet Vets: Pet Care & Animal Science

About the Course

Our animal friends and young veterinarians will explore the fascinating world of pets.
This hands-on class teaches children how to understand, respect, and care for animals.

Students will learn the basics of animal science and care through informational videos, fun stories, games, crafts, and in-class cumulative habitat projects.

Many animals, whether they be our favorite pets, zoo animals, farm animals, endangered animals, or even wild animals, will all be a part of the thematic animal studies students will explore.

Students will use many forms of information and hands-on activities that are sure to spark their imagination, as they gain knowledge & develop their skills in research, literacy, & communication.

Each student will also have the opportunity to take home the "Class Pet" on a rotation each week.
This exercise will provide a hands-on experience as they take on the responsibilities necessary to care for a pet. There may also be some fun, furry, four-legged classroom visitors & parent-led field trips as well!
