About the Course

Small Scholar Junction is where education and creativity come together through
projects, play, and active learning.
Designed especially for TK and Kindergarten students, this class provides a fun, safe, and engaging environment where children can explore, create, and let their curiosity lead the way.

Hands-on, play-based learning is at the heart of every lesson as students grow into confident young
scholars. From traveling the world on a magic carpet to dressing up as important community helpers,
using all five senses, and building exciting creations, each activity encourages exploration and
discovery.

Math, reading, and writing skills are naturally woven into every lesson in meaningful and engaging ways, helping children learn, grow, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Hello everyone!
My name is Christie Perez, and I am the owner of ATC Martial Arts & Enrichment, a college professor, and a doctoral student in public health. As a veteran homeschooling mom who graduated two children—and is currently schooling my rising 2nd grader—I am right there in the trenches with you!
While I teach all age groups, early learners have my heart. I believe children thrive through active, hands-on play, movement, and joy.
Because little people have big emotions, I prioritize a patient, loving environment where every child feels safe to take risks and grow.
At 4'9", getting down on their level comes naturally to me! I believe connecting with
children means truly seeing the world through their eyes and helping them discover that learning can be
both meaningful and fun.
I cannot wait to inspire confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning in your children.
